LOCAL PHONE SETUP
One small HTTPS setup.
Then you’re ready.
Phone browsers need a trusted HTTPS connection to use the camera.
- Connect your Mac and both phones to the same Wi-Fi.
- Download the SnapRemote test certificate on each phone.
- iPhone: Settings → General → VPN & Device Management → install the downloaded profile. Then General → About → Certificate Trust Settings → enable SnapRemote Local Test CA.
- Android: Settings → Security → Encryption & credentials → Install a certificate → CA certificate. Menu names vary by device.
- Open the secure address below in Safari or Chrome.
This certificate is only for your own local prototype. Remove it from your phones after testing. No trust settings are changed automatically.
